Unless it got fixed overnight, the photo upload process in the Mobile view is not working.
I have let the techs know so they can add it to the "hot" list of things we need fixed.
You might try switching to Full Site view, but that means itty-bitty everything, so it might be too unpleasant on a mobile device.
keep your eye on this thread in the QB Help Center. once the mobile view upload process is fixed, if there's a need for some special things for idevice users, somebody will figure it out and post it there.
