Iceblossom, you're not going to go wrong with any of your sashing options, but the last one is, wow!
I'm putting in quite a bit of extra work converting four of my half blocks to full blocks and the four full blocks to half blocks, but I will be very happy with the result, which is putting my four least favorite blocks (chosen for pinwheel contrast before the reveal) on the sides.
