Welcome to the QB from SE Michigan. You are in good hands with the 2 ideas above. Checking the needle position and the way the bobbin thread is positioned is always a good start. It could be a number of things. Let's be optimistic that it is a simple fix. If you can post a picture it will be most helpful. Again welcome to the QB.
