Default Morse precision zig zag

My machine is not cooperating! I have a Morse Precision Zig Zag, that for some reason will not pick up the bobbin thread. It runs beautifully I just can't get it to do right. I need an instruction manual but haven't had any luck finding one.ease help! Its model no is 651. I could not upload a picture of it!

Welcome to the board! The first things to check are position of the needle, and that your bobbin is unwinding in the correct direction. I hope you figure it out.

Welcome. I couldn't find a picture of your machine.

We like pictures. You will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button,

In addition for threading the bobbin correctly, the needle needs to be inserted and threaded correctly. I remember setting up a machine and decided I didn't want to look up the manual to find how to insert and thread the needle. I took a mirror and set on needle plate to see which side the flat was on. I inserted the needle with the flat on the right and threaded from left to right. I think a lot of the Morse machines are threaded from left to right, with some of the later ones from front to back.

I'm wondering if this threading diagram would help? http://www.sewusa.com/Threading_Diag...ng_Diagram.htm

Welcome to the QB from SE Michigan. You are in good hands with the 2 ideas above. Checking the needle position and the way the bobbin thread is positioned is always a good start. It could be a number of things. Let's be optimistic that it is a simple fix. If you can post a picture it will be most helpful. Again welcome to the QB. We look forward to seeing a great deal of you here.
