I’m trying, slowly but surely, to get more organized. My fabric has resided in a couple of large tubs for years now, plus baskets and bags stuffed here and there. It’s so hard to get a handle on what I actually have that I went out and bought white backing fabric for a project (and due to a math snafu, wildly over-bought) when I already had not one but two pieces of white in my stash that would have worked. Doh! This is particularly frustrating because I’m trying to sew from stash/sew down my stash as much as possible.
A couple of years ago I got scraps organized by color into small boxes, but now I’m tackling yardage. This weekend I bought three small clear tubs and made a beginning of moving fabric from the garage this to my sewing room, and straightened the sewing room up a bit.
