I just did a quick search for "using a Bernina 440 to embroider" and found a couple of you tubes from about 2012 and 2014, and as I remember, they were not "stand alone" embroidery machines at the time and needed to be connected to a computer, the author of the you tube was just using a laptop. Sewingsuz did you ever get your machine set-up?

I have the 440 Qe., a 180 with the 200 upgrade and module and a new 790
The Bernina site has tons of information about them all.

I’m in the same boat. It will only work with a 64 bit computer. Anyone have any suggestions on how to use it with a newer computer?

You could check and see if anyone still has an older computer sitting around that still works.
