Debka, I love your quilt and would like to keepin touch about your interest in using the ready made quilt pattern and how that goes for you. I may want to try this also.

What a beauty! Your seams appear to be perfect. I'm jealous.

 Looks great. I would use a verigated thread. Not sure on the quilting - maybe something in each square and leave the diagonal bit not quilted.

I would quilt circles. I say "I would quilt circles" but truth be known I might take the easier route. I think a circle that starts small in the middle and swirls out would look lovely.

LOVE the quilt, if you decide you don't want to deal with it, I would be happy to give you my address :)

I would use a varigated thread with all the colors, I have one by YLI.
    I would quilt with curves.

I absolutely love that quilt!!! I have a magazine with that pattern and it's on my to do list...just not sure when it will make it to the top.

Do you have a LQS that sells variegated thread? You could take the top to the store and unwind a few feet of different colors and see how they look. There's so many colors, you probably have several choices. I don't think I'd go too light though.

A meandering pattern would be nice, either stippling or any other meander. I did try out the paper stuff, but I don't like that I can't see where I'm going. :) I draw patterns on sulky solvy with washable markers, pin it to the top and quilt thru that. It's clear so I can see what I'm doing. Then you cut away the bulky parts and the rest washes away. I love it!

Definitely practice before you start or you will likely be disappointed!

    What a gorgeous quilt.

Do you remember which magazine has that pattern? (I have stacks of magazines on my sewing room shelves, but don't have the patience to flip through each one to find this pattern!)

    Thanks,

    Bonnie

Cute quilt! I love all the color. With all that's going on, don't worry about the quilting, as it will naturally take a back seat on this one. I would go light gray so it kind of disappears. You really don't need extra color here.

Very nice!! I would go with meandering in your favorite color thread! There are so many colors in the quilt that any color will work. Great job! Thanks for the instructions, too! k
