I belong to the World of Charity Stitching and we do cross stitching and include them in our quilts. We give them to Ronald McDonald House, Favor House and Nursing homes. The combo of quilt and cross stitching come out beautiful. If you want to donate or join the organization please let me know. The patients fight over the quilts. Send me a private email. Yes, I have used cross stitched pictures in quilts. They are expecially nice for little girls.

My oldest daughter found a whole stack of counted cross stitch I had boxed up for years, and she backed them with fusable inerfacing and sewed them into a memory quilt for her two girls. they came out real nice and she has washed them several times. She uses woolite was and hangs them to dry. Hope this helps. Whatever you do, DONT THROW THEM AWAY!
Never discard your handy work. I think there must be a law against it ...LOL

Don' t toss them. I use mine in baby quilts and in several for my step mom she is in a care home and has hers on her alll the time. It gets washed at least once a week and they all have held up real well.

Thanks for the idea. I have a bunch of Precious Moments in frames and sick of them on the wall. But on the flip side have a lot of time in them so don't want to throw them away. Oh good another project.

Ladies, I saw the most delightful quilted pillow at Bloomingdale's Dept Store, crazy quilt style, that had at least one cross stitch block, some velvet shapes etc along with delicate embroidery along the edges of the blocks....to die for.

Why not put them in a quilt? We are always trying to find unique individual ways to display our talents. Go for it!
