Someone told me that if your blocks are all straight lines, your quilting should be curved lines and vica versa.

Hi I am new here, I have been quilting for over 30 years.
I also own a long arm quilting machine.
I just wanted to say that I hand quilt also, and baste my quilt on my longarm. I used to do this for customers for about $30.00. Saves lots of back breaking pinning and bending.
Also wanted to say that the quilt looks great, and I would not fix the patch out of place. I love uniqueness in a quilt and rarely fix mistakes. I leave them in place for a reminder of how only God is perfect.
I agree with the other hand quilter, straight lines are a great way to begin learning handquilting. If you begin with lots of twisting and turning, because of your inexperience, you may not want to continue.
    Good luck

Leave it in...let future generations wonder "what was she thinking" and "why did she do that"!!

    Your quilt top is gorgeous!

I am a little concerned that I will be able to hand quilt through the basting spray. I did use it very lightly since I put a few pins in as well.
    Thanks for the suggestions.
This is beautiful and whatever you do will be good.

I couldn't agree more. Great quilt, and I think you'll love hand quilting and the look you'll achieve, no matter what pattern you choose.

What a lovely quilt. Hand quilting it will make it all the prettier! Outline the triangles would be my thoughts. Just lovely.
