I always get stressed when I try to make sure it matches a nursery that I have not seen yet. I found if I just make a really cute baby quilt and put one or two of the colors that the mom is using it will work and still be a treasure that both baby and mother will love long after the nursery has been re-decorated.

Here is a link to a quilt I made with many of those colors- it was a fast easy Carpenter Star. I hope this link works. I can't find the original card with this photo on it. The colors are much brighter than this pic shows- more in the neon line.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions........I finally decided to
just get as many of the colors I could in a fabric that was very girly looking.....when I get it finished I will try to post it. You are all so sweet....Huggs Judy

P.S. I ended up getting it at Wal Mart....it has butterflies and caterpillars in it,couple different shades of pink, lime green, touch of brown.....I am totall leaving out the black. One side will be done in pink and brown.......the other in pink, lime, brown so it will be reversible.

After writing the above, I decided to see if I could find a cute elephant clip art one. I did, copied it and the outline of him/her has already been embroidered on the machine. Now to fill in the body, make the blanket and finish the crib quilt. This center piece is on white. I need to incorporate blue and pink around this design. Any ideas? I thought of alternate pink, blue and white squares-boring. Then I though of triangles also boring and then perhaps strip quilting alternating pink and blue with childs design. I need help!
