Sometimes 85yo get forgetful and sometimes younger one also. I do hope you check up on her as I also hope she is not ill. We gotta give some room to our elders (I'm 73) because we will require room at their age also.

I am positive she will love the quilt, it is very pretty and springy. I will send a prayer that she is well.

My husband said the same thing - I said "what I don't act like that!" he said "Yes you do...and the fact that you find the whole conversation funny is more proof you are just like her!!"

    Guess he is right.

I just bought some Maxine Material last night I may have to make her another quilt with it now!

She's still prim and proper. She's doing handwritten thank-you notes, right? How many of those do you see these days?

I would call just to be sure she is ok ! then sheepishly lead into the conversation of her bd present. Making her believe you are the really forgetful one and did she receive it.

Love the quilt by the way ..

It's a shame that some of the people posting don't read all the posts. Pam has already posted that she has talked to her aunt.

yep her handwritting is hard to read but not unreadable. I kind of like writting letters with her - its a lost art for sure!

Pam, did your aunt ever quilt? No matter what, I know you have a good place in your heart for her.

No but my grandmother - her sister did - I have a great hand quilted queen sized bedspreed I'm trying to get someone to get down out of the closet for me - I'm 5'4.5" tall and the top shelf is at the 8 foot mark in the hall closet.

**updated with picture - that is only 2 of the 6 panels - all hand quilted and hand pieced....posted under pictures with a full description.
