I love the way you said ".....just decided to make a sandhill crane..." ! WOW
I love every part of this quilt...........and the colors are so muted each block compliments the other and even you crane doesn't distract from it, and the other way around. What balance! I can only dream.

ok all of you-- this weekend i will work on figuring out a way to share my crane (pattern)
i may contact one or two of you for some advice as i go along but i think i may know how to go ahead with this,...
thanks all for all the 'rave-reviews'
i was really unsure about the (over-all) effect...it was an experiment-start to finish :)

That is so clever. Your pieced blocks are subtle and yet give all kinds of movement to the quilt. Everybody would love that quilt. It would go with absolutely everything. I've considered doing a neutrals quilt. Your inspiration just pushed me in that direction. THANKS!

I along with many others, would love to have the pattern for the crane. They are sort of our 'totem' as we owned a crane service for many years and after retiring and living in central Nebraska and now Idaho, they are once again a part of our lives. Love to hear their 'chirping/trilling' sound in the sky during migration.

Thank you!! It's really kind of you to share your talent with us 8-) Did you actually design this pattern yourself??? I am in awe!!!! My husband was quite taken with your quilt & it would be fun to make him a wal hanging for his office.
