WElcome to the board from Michigan. Sorry about the loss of your mom but what a wonderful woman and such a long life. I would certainly give that fabric to a charity that makes quilts for children or people in need. YOu were a lucky daughter to have such a wonderful mom.

My goodness! What a friendly place. Thank you all for your welcome and thanks for the ideas. Ada is a very small place, one of those places that you have to have a reason to be coming here. There are a few quilting circles around, but they say they are loaded and don't need more, don't have a goodwill close by, don't have daughters, but do have a future daughter-in-law, maybe, who quilts and she is out of room for more material, one niece who quilts, she can't use it. So, I am going to go through it, sort it into colors, sizes, fabrics, etc. When I get it all cataloged, I will put it up for grabs with photos.
Mom would scold me severely if I let it go to waste. I really have tried to quilt, by machine, and by hand and it is just not something that I can get into. But I can certainly appreciate the results and appreciate the time and effort that is put into it.
Love this group, you are a wonderful bunch of people.

Thank you. Yes she was a very special woman. We miss her every day. We had a lot of fun together. She played piano, sang, was a fantastic cook, and loved everyone and everyone loved her. Our house was always the one everyone wanted to come to. Her funeral was filled with her kids and grand kid's friends. She was Granny to many.

Thank you. I don't have "guilty" feelings. I just know that she is gonna come back and kick my butt if I don't do something with this material before it sits here and rots. So, I gotta get with the program. She was old school and never forgot the depression days. Nothing around here EVER went to waste. She was "green" as long as I can remember. We recycled everything, always. So, I shall have to get off my kiester and do as you said, organize it and get rid of it. The closest fabric store is 70 to 80 miles away, other than Wally World and they don't have much, so someone, somewhere is going to want some of this.
