    Can some of you list some of your favorite On Line Quilt Shops. I have never ordered on line my self. I have order over the phone a couple of times.

    Thank you, love this message board!!!!

    I order on-line, but, when I really need to match something, I go to a local shop (unless I purchase the matching ones when I order).

    I've always been satisfied with my purchases online - it is too costly to drive 85 miles to the closest "GOOD" fabric shop - so if I'd get a piece of fabric not up to my liking - it is a small price to pay: but overall I've been satisfied;

    I do notice if I use my DH computer, the colors are much more vivid -and better visual of the fabric; I'm thinking maybe he has HD on his monitor????? But, just the other day I was shopping online and came onto some cute children's fabric so put in a big order - I received it yesterday already and wow! It was gorgeous as it had been on the monitor - was very pleased, and if you can say that in bright sunlight - I think I can attribute it to his monitor!

    One of the problems could be different dye lots. If there was a significant time lapse between when you first got it and then later ordered on line.

    I rarely buy fabric except on line; have for years now. I don't rmember ever having a problem. I use 15-20 different vendors.
    The one LQS in my town does not carry fabric I'd use.

    I have my solution: order extra shades and alternatives so something will work but then you have my problem--a growing stash!!

    Since I am stuck with it, I use it for scrappy quilts, backing or small craft projects. Charity quilts sure would need it.

    Someone may have already mentioned this. Thousands of Bolts has a way that you can click on the focus fabric and find other fabrics that match the spot you clicked on. Very cool and fun. I had good luck doing this. And Thousands of Bolts prices are great and good service.

    I have bought fabric online for quite a few years now and have had few complaints. One time I sent back some sale yardage which stated it was white(which I wanted). When it arrived it was butter yellow. It went right back. I got a refund, as i should have. Just lately I ordered a kit from a well known sewing lady catalog and was disappointed as the picture of the kit was not real true because it was a EQ picture and the colors were not the same. I made it anyway and it will be a charity raffle quilt as someone else may just love it. You just have to be careful and I just learned that lesson AGAIN! Marilyn

    Unfortunately, the colors that show on the monitor are not always the true colors. You should call the internet seller and ask if they will send you a swatch.
    I recently purchased the swatch card for the new Bella solids from Moda and now I can look at the actual color instead of the monitor color. You would be surprised at the difference.
