    Yes, I've had this problem. I had a Viking and it died. Bought a Bernina and boy was my quilt off!!! I got it to all work but it was a real pain.

    This is an excellent idea, where did you get your ruler with the 1/4 inch hole, for marking off the 1/4 inch?
