This is my really exciting one, Smoking Hot Firemen. Our fire dept is trying to raise enough money to build a new fire station. I saw this fabric and fell in love, I wanted to make a quilt for the fire aux to raffle and raise money. Our state fire convention is this weekend and I needed to finish so they could take it with them and sell tickets down there. I have been a fireman's wife for 30 years now, so the fire dept is very improtant to us.

Can you see why they are smoking hot?

I had to cut each rectangle individually and it was like a puzzle putting it together. Some fabric had black background so I used red shashing for them and black sashing for the lighth blue background.

if you are interested in supporting our fire dept pm me. I gave the quilt to the aux tonight at the firemen's meeting. The only people who knew about the quilt were my husband, the fire chief, the aux president and the photographer for our local paper. It was really fun showing it off and explaining everything. Then we bundled it up and it will go to convention tomorrow.

    Beautiful work.

I bet a lot of ladies would show up if the firemen dressed like that for the benefit. 8)
