I fell in love with this gal's work http://www.fromthebluechair.com/2012...challenge.html. Well, I just had to have one for myself. So, yes, I swiped her pattern. Well not totally, since she had taken the New York Beauty block from Donna Duquette to create a color wheel. But I'll give her all credit here on the QB for designing a pretty color wheel. My center isn't exactly the same as hers, and my binding is typical of me, a decorative stitching. This was my first in using circles or curves. I found using the treadle extremely helpful for attaching the curve pieces. Paper piecing was done on a Singer 201, straight stitch quilting 201 and Davis NVF, and binding on Singer 224.

Wow Monica, you did a great job! Love the color wheel! I have never tried paper piecing! I bet that was a fun project to do! Are you going to use it for a wall hanging or a table topper? It is stunning - I don't think I'd put it on the table! I'd put it on the wall!

    Anamaria, Thanks!

Nancy, Thanks! It will be a put on the wall above the Free treadle cabinet that holds all the quilting notions.

Once again, not a quilt, but the first project from Katherine, my 301! This is Victorianna... I got the pattern at one of the thrift stores for 50 cents, and will be making her a dress from patterns that I got at the same time that were designed for her.....one is a Grandmother's Fan dress, the other is a Dresden Plate dress....

Wow, Monica, love your color wheel. What really makes it pop is your use of black and your quilting, well... and your binding and... it's great!

Thanks! The face is part of the pattern, I traced and embroidered it. Her hair is a fine sport yarn. I can honestly say that I don't think I will EVER make another one of these dolls!! What a LOT of work she was!

Linda, I LOVE this 301! Of course, I love all of my machines, but have to say that the 301 is everything that it's been said to be. Don't know why I waited so long to look for one, but I'm glad that it's finally in my herd!
