I plan to use my cricket cutter and some stripe fabric to put up some sewing sayings. It will be later in the year when we move to our new house.

Very cute! All I can think of though, is what if you wanted to remove them? I think I would try a letter on a scrap piece of painted dry wall and then try to remove the letter. Will it need Goo Gone to get off the residue? Or can you just put a another coat of paint over the residue? Do the letters come off the paint at all? I guess I am over thinking it.....

My cousin used to fabric borders on her walls using fabric starch. They were in the military and moved a lot. It removed easily and you would just have to wash the starch off the wall.

I have done some decorating by dipping fabric in starch and applying
It to my wall and on my white cupboards in my sewing room
(That was 6 years ago)and it is still sticking.

This was added at the bottom of the column which may answer the question about removing the letters:
(Just as a side note added later--I've had a lot of questions about how the heat and bond comes off the wall when you want to change it out--So to answer your questions--we just recently moved and I took mine off the wall after a couple of years of them being up--and they peeled off perfectly fine! They didn't leave any residue or glue behind and didn't peel off any of the wall or paint underneath. It worked great! I would always test a small patch on your walls in an inconspicuous spot just in case though.)

The person who did this said it peeled right off no problem, but to test it first some out of the way place.
