When that little voice in your head says, "Go ahead, keep on sewing . . . BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! It will look just fine and of course you can always fix it tomorrow!" It's definitely time to stop.

OMG - this sounds like one of MY days..........when I get on a roll........and do not stop to pay close enough attention or to "smell the roses".........I have to, on a daily basis.......slow myself down, and remind me to stop and enjoy the process, not just the finished product!

Hope you could recover from the mis-hap.....

Time to quit when you rip it out and resew it only to realize that you just sewed it wrong - it was right the first time. Time to turn the lights out and find something else to do! LOL Everyone has been there!!

I have been working on a fairly difficult sew and flip quiltblock that the pattern calls broken spider web. I had my 4 quadrants all with the strips on half of them like I was supposed to. I put my background fabric down to measure and square up before putting the last seams on and successfully cut 3 quandrants in half. Didn't move them far enough out of the way. I did physically shed tears over that. It was time to be done for the day!

When you sew a good portion of the bottom of your maternity top in the quilt. (That was a very long time ago). Most recently, when you sew the corner of your sweater in your quilt. Can't even toss it up on the ironing board and forget about it. If I didn't take out the seam now my sweater will follow me all day.
