    Sad thing is the seller is selling the treadle bases for $50 each. Judging by the cases I'd cheerfully pay the $5.00 without even opening them first.

    By sheer coincidence I was given one of these machines this afternoon. It's in better condition than that one too. Can't find anything about it that's in any way collectable: It's just a Japanese Singer clone.

    Get away with ripping someone off. Half a million for something I've seen go for as low as $75? If a poor unfortunate soul actually falls for it, they'd be getting screwed big time.

    Due to my limited knowledge of Australian geography (Sydney, Melbourne, Coober Pedy, Alice Springs, Darwin... that's it) I might have checked how far you were away before I posted. I was disappointed.
