i learnt plenty just trying to get points to match, when it doesn't add up, tear apart and correct not an option for me.. I say square off till all are equal blocks.. I'll never be a great quilter.. Sewing clothes is a better tradeoff.

A big hello from New Hampshire! Welcome to the Board. Everyone here is super nice and helpful, so don't be afraid to ask questions. (I'm not a new quilter, but I still ask plenty of questions.)

I have relatives in Surrey (on Craigweil Close). It's definitely a small world!

    Welcome again.

Welcome to the board. I was born and raised in Surrey.

Surrey British Columbia , Canada that is.

Pick an easy pattern and try it, you will get better as you go and most people will just see the lovely quilt and not the errors, its only us quilters who see our mistakes.

Welcome from Oklahoma in the middle of United States. You will get it. Just relax and give yourself time. There is no deadline.

My father's mother was born in Manchester.

Welcome!! My advice is not to start with triangles -- start with squares or rectangles. Make 9-patch blocks or fence rails. Jenny Doan on YouTube is great. Quilterscache is another place to find lots of blocks -- she rates the blocks as to how difficult and the patterns have good explanations.
