Hello, I have never quilted, bought the 'bits' and really want to learn. I have tried and mucked up first ,star, but will keep trying to get the hang of it. I am frightened of the rulers, and find trying to work out how to use them a nightmare! I am referring to the Omnigrid rulers, but will at some point try and get it in my head!

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. If you can watch the youtube videos by Jenny Doan from the Missouri Star Quilt co. Start with a simple pot holder or table runner and you can quickly build your skills.

Hi from New York. I have a hard time with the rulers too. I started by doing just squares and triangles. I still haven't created a star. The points would not be perfect and I haven't mastered paper piecing at all. Keep your ripper close by
