Thank you. Oh, heavens no, I'm not that talented. I'm a cheater, as my mom says, I used an embroidery machine. I did sew it with the 201 though.

Love Elizabeth's cover is it hard to learn to use an embroidery machine?

Crossstitcher - I used one today for the first time. They're not hard - a little different, but basically "point and shoot" like a camera

No it's not. The day I bought my first one at a dealer I wanted to take the free class but it was scheduled 3 weeks out. I went home, read the manual cover to cover, watched a bunch of Utube videos and was off and running. By the day of the class, there was nothing left to teach me about my machine. I even showed her how I can get it to do something they didn't know it could do. I figured it out by accident.
Two pieces of advice I like to give when asked about machine embroidery:
1-Get a machine with the biggest hoops you can afford. Something I was told and didn't listen to. That's why I have two machines.
2-This hobby can quickly become a $$ pit if you let it. You can quickly sink your budget with all the threads, extra hoops, stabilizers, etc.. Take it slow, buy a few spools of thread at first and a couple different stabilizers. That way if you find it isn't your cup of tea you won't be too far in the hole other than the machine.

For me that's especially true. I never could do hand embroidery worth beans.

Your quilts are beautiful. When I make something on an old machine or even use vintage fabric, I always feel like someone in heaven is smiling on me for using their things. I know that when I'm in heaven and someone is finally using my over abundance of supplies, it will make me smile. Thanks for sharing.
