EQ Stitch has been out for a while and was expensive. It will be interesting to see what happens since they must have dropped the price. I think you can import photos but I have never used that feature on EQ7. I use it mostly to resize patterns when I need to make them smaller or larger.

Per the FAQ, no, you cannot do photos with EQStitch, only things you draw in EQStitch

    http://electricquilt.com/online-shop...tware/#tab-FAQ

Q: Will EQStitch auto-digitize my photos?
A: No, EQStitch can only auto-digitize EQ drawings. Anything drawn on the Artwork tab of the Stitching worktable can be digitized.

I wonder if you could import & draw the photo in EQ as an applique, then digitize the drawing?

I have had it for a while, but have yet to sit down and work on it!

I have trouble drawing with a mouse. I have a pen tablet but haven't really tried using it in EQ stitch yet. All I've done is draw my signature (for quilt labels) and add fonts from my computer for the other text. I have also added one of their included designs to a label. Overall I don't really like it. It has had a lot of glitches for me. Parts of my design disappearing, error messages when there's no error or I haven't even done anything, etc. Recently I had a design on the mat and when I went to set the stitch types, it said I had no design on the mat. It was right there-I was looking at it. But for some reason the program didn't recognize it. I haven't used it much but I tear out my hair every time. But it digitizes fonts better than Sew What Pro did when I used the trial.
