I use a metal tool box with trays. It is light weight and can be locked if need be.

I found two old desk organizers that swivel that I use for all those little sewing things that I need to keep handy. They hold scissors, crochet hooks, bobbins, bias bars, tube turning tools, nippers, etc.

Joanns have clear totes with individual slots that you can change to your liking. I keep all my sewing supplies in this tote since I go to my LQS quite often to sew. I love how it stores all my supplies and I can move it wherever I need it. Now, I do have duplicate seam rippers by my machine, along with rotary cutter, tape measure, Gingers on a magnetic strip found at hardware store.

I purchased 2 Snapware Seasonal storage container sets (4 in a set) on sale at Walmart to house different notions, etc for each of my machines. They snap off and on to each other and I can have the labeled containers right by the machine I am using. When done, they stack together and I can place them out of the way.

I like those Snapware sets too - they are the perfect size to hold a pattern, a set of small pieced blocks, or any small notion.

Check out this; I have one and I love it. And, they are on sale right now. It doesn't show it in the add, but there are a couple of little drawers on the bottom.

I use pegboards for a lot of my notions/accessories. I also use those clear tackle containers with lids and vitamin reminder containers for sewing machine feet.

Here's a pic of one of my pegboards:

I use the plastic pencil boxes you can find at Walmart to store bobbins, needles and small tools for each machine because all my machines are different. I label each box with the machine name and make on it so there is no question. I know I won't be around forever and this will help DD when she has to try to figure it out.
