I'd buy it for the cabinets, too. Like the smaller, side cabinet the best. The machine is a beast though and will sew through lots of fabric.

Free Singer treadle base with a repurposing job that is easy to undo. Who has a car and a need?

holy cow. I have a car and I need, BUTT , after the drive to roseville and back , I could buy four complete machines locally LOL..

This reminds me of several years ago. Took a lady to pick up some junk she wanted, she didn't have a car. we stop for hamburgers, I look across the street, there's a dumpster behind these collage apartments . There sits in pieces a singer treadle. I drive over to look, sure thing it's heading for the dump, my car is full of her junk

course she's saying " I want that !! " ya right, toss your junk in the can and " I " take home the treadle !!!!

You know. Maybe you do not even need to put the drawers back. All I ever did with my student table was roll up fabric and stick that in the drawers. The straps would work fine for that.

And you are quite right. Whoever is driving the car that can pick up can call dibs.

it was one of those you had to be there days, went after one item, end up with a hack back car full of garbage. I could have fit the treadle in there and ended up being a SOB if she didn't get it.

The thing would have sat in the rain and mud, used as a stacking table of more garbage.. I think of that day every time I buy a old rusted treadle stand

KenmoreRulesAll I am astonished. Not only are both of them lovely machines it looks like the second one was used and appreciated. None of the listings I have seen around here have the used and appreciated look to them. We get mostly "I scrounged it and now I am going to sell it" or "keep your hands off of the decor, it is not a toy".

Very strong. Just look at that haze in all the photos! Everything is out of focus.
