    Default Opinions please, guild challenge

My first quilt guild challenge is to do a 24" X 24" wall hanging with a garden theme using a fat 1/8th of the theme fabric, which is used in the upper cat. I'm not sure I like the butterfly in his current location. I'm calling it "Whimsical Garden Cats." Opinions please on where to put the butterfly.
    Thanks!

Opps...I'm in the minority. I think the butterfly needs to be moved more towards the center of the block (above the right flower bud). The way it appears to me the block is not "balanced" and the butterfly should be moved. Just my 2 cents... I really like your pattern and choice of fabrics!

If you are questioning the position of the butterfly, you are not happy with it. Go with your gut feeling...it is usually correct.

I also agree. The butterfly needs to move into the space where the two cats form a right angle, facing the flowers. I just don't like him where he is. Fortunately, he's only attached by his body. The wings are 3D and "free".
