Post Chance to put woman on $20 bill...

There's a campaign that's been started to put the face of a woman on the US $20 bill by the year 2020 (which will be the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage in the U.S.)

    http://www.womenon20s.org/

You will have a chance to select three women candidates & then you will be contacted later when it comes down to their final "election". Then a petition will be sent.

Its a very interesting idea. The U.S. Mint put Susan B. Anthony & Sacajawea on $1 coins (too much like size of a quarter) & those went nowhere but $20.00 bills might go everywhere.

I think a more appropriate tribute to women is equal pay for equal work myself.

Oh, gosh. So many women come to mind. Just three? But I still like our current face of this bill. Guess that's why they came up with other forms of currency to include others who have formed our country. Color me torn.

I think they should leave the $20 bill alone. Do people realize how much it would cost the American Tax Payer to do this? Money that could be used for the good of the people.

I like the idea of putting a woman on the $20. I was in a group recently that did not know who Susan B. Anthony or Sacajawea were

And I vote for equal pay for equal work!

Unfortunately, putting their face on a bill will not actually teach anyone who they are. Many. many people cannot name who is on bills today. Not a money problem, that's a teaching / learning problem.

In AZ, we have a lot of gas machines that accept bills, they would all have to be re-configured to accept the new bills. I say leave it alone.
