I had to Google and see....Wikipedia seems to indicate not true. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singer_Motors
And "history of Singer Car" from a Singer Car club doesn't mention sewing machines: http://www.singercars.com/history/singerhistory.html

What I came here to post - I thought this was a really interesting machine; I've never heard of Fridor before. I love the looks of it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-FRID...item1c534c5537

Where do they get Swiss/French...? It says "Made in the Netherlands" on the label, right below Type 300, FRIDOR.
    Looks a lot like Vikings....

Seriously ? you got that one? awesome I am glad it went for a good price to someone here. if you would be so kind I would like a review of it when you get it.... i was trying to get one of my contacts lined up in the area to accept shipping for me.... but well then the additional shipping up here just was not what I needed to do right now. Anyway it looked like a very nice machine I would be interested in hearing about it.

Yes, I guess I fell for your pleading, it's my only excuse because it's not a machine I'd normally be interested in. A review of the machine might be a while, I've got a really full plate for the forseeable future.

If you decide it was a mistake or not for you, let me know ... because I either want it or can point you to some forums ( outdoor gear and or boating....) where the Pfaff 130 is highly sought after....this is similar enough I bet you can unload it.

    Thanks Dan
