    Love the quilt. I love that your inspiration was a book. When I give baby quilt, if it has a theme, I like to find a childrens book that will go with it for bed time story. Lots of love with quilts and books.

    Thank you all for the kind comments & especially on the quilting; am not that accomplished but just went with what felt right. I will keep looking for the original book even tho I did purchase a later edition for him; I do like the book with quilt idea and think will be adopting that for any future little ones I make for.

    Just precious! Never heard the story of the owl and the woodpecker, but you were very clever to add those elements to the quilt. Now save that story for little great grandson Waylon!
