I managed to get a good bit of a quilt quilted... my Kaffe Fassett quilt that I showed a few VQWs back.

Also started putting my blocks from the Birthday candy swap Mystery Quilt together in it's layout. Here it is on the design wall... not sewn yet.

After I took this pic I started sewing the rows together and have a big corner done. Hope to do more piecing tomorrow. It was a really fun mystery... using 2.5" squares.

I have a thread catcher that just needs a pincushion for completion and I need to dig out my OBW books for a couple of sew classes later this month. Have a trip to Farmers' Market and the 127 yard sale later today.

Sewbizgirl...that's really nice. Love how the border echos the centre pattern.

I'm in. Will bind a flannel tv watching quilt for DS for his birthday in September. Then decide which project to tackle next. Also have to pick up my fair projects - got 2 grand champion and 2 reserve champion ribbons. Three of them are for quilting projects. Makes me happy and builds some self-esteem.

Neat way to use 2.5” squares, Sewbiz. I like the way the border echoes the central pattern without being identical to it.

    Karamarie- Congratulations!!!

I will be working on 2 projects. One is a large table topper made from hexies with various Christmas fabrics. This will be donated to my Quilt Guild Show to sell. The other is a challenge quilt for that same show. Both are ready to be finished up. If I should get them done (ha, ha) I have things to long arm quilt. Time to get started!!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched the Spice Rack video from MSQC yesterday and thought "hey, that would work for the pile of fabric that still exists from the shirts of my husband who passed away 4 years ago. Jennie is correct that it goes really fast! I started yesterday morning and already have the foundation ready for borders and then the sandwich--and I still have fabric left! I swear cutting up shirts is like yeast--it just keeps growing!

I'm in. I've already cut the fabrics for the Honor Flight Quilt I was planning during the last VQW. Just have to work the "arrangement" of the fabrics and begin sewing rows.

I will be taking part also. I have several blocks to get made for LQS Scrappy Club due by the 3rd Thursday. Hope to get them finished up today. This month there was 44 triple 4-patches. Every time I think I have enough for the small corner 4-patches I come up short. There surely is a Grimlin eating them as fast as I'm making them. Hope everyone has a productive weekend.

Looks like we are off to a good start!

I'm working up the courage to go to my first quilt guild meeting. They meet the first Saturday of the month and I've been thinking of going for over a year, but have not made it yet.

After dropping of my Juki yesterday, I didn't even want to go upstairs and see the empty spot where it is suppose to be. but on a good note, with it not there I have a whole lot more room to spread out quilts for sewing on bindings using the Destiny.
