    My weekend did not go as planned so haven't been on here since Friday night! I'm just posting this quick message and then will go back and read the posts tomorrow so I can see what everyone has been working on . Two of our cats were sick with stomach viruses over the weekend so we had some cleaning up to do! I did quilt at the LQS with some friends and managed to get most of the square in a square top done. Also dropped off an 86 inch square quilt at the longarmer so that felt good to get that out of my sewing room! Can't wait to see what everyone was working on. See you all next month!

    Well this was my first virtual quilting retreat and I got every one of my projects completed! I even was able to add 2 more fleece blankets to the stockpile! This was cool. I really finished all the "things" I didn't want to do. Bindings, labels, sleeves, organizing my batting (that is a real treat!) and this was fun. Great idea as other people's goals and ambitions really inspired me to stick to it and get er done! Thanks for the inspiration.

    I finished a little Christmas pillow; finished machine quilting a Christmas quilt and have binding prepared; and won a blue ribbon and sweepstakes rosette at the county fair for a quilt. I am not very prolific, so this is a big deal for me!

    I finished 8 more blocks for my current quilt project but still have 8 to go. I’ll have to cut new cornerstones for these as I ran out of the fabric I used for the other 8 in that colorway. I took a few hours out from sewing to start power washing my back porch. It’s fun to do & I learned how to use the new power washer. I only did part of the porch due to a hard trigger on the wand, then got back to sewing. I have 24 of 32 blocks completed. The sashing will be next. No sewing for most of today-another week of teaching summer camp is in store.

    So much sewing from VQW "retreaters"! I managed to finish the string blocks for Jamestown Landing as well as the quilting of the kid's quilt so I am very pleased. Thank you raggiemom for hosting, hope your kitties are better today.
