i love your quilt pattern and I do all my FMQ with tracing paper, and love knowing I am not the only quilter who relies on a paper pattern, since I also prefer more open quilting. Beautiful quilt

I have always used tracing paper, but after seeing that you use a heavier paper, I tried freezer paper, secure it on block with a few pins, then iron it on fabric. That works great, and isn’t any harder to remove than the tracing paper

Thanks for sharing this quilting technique. I find it difficult to imagine and draw designs like yours. I guess it just takes practice, practice, practice and throw in a little patience helps.

What kind of paper do you stitch through? I may try this for a project I am currently working on.

Literally anything I have lying around other than printed newspaper.
