Default Summer Quilting before the Quilt Show

This quilt may head into our upcoming quilt show before it's re purposed as a wedding gift. My friend wanted very loose and open work. That was a nice change from the heavily quilted pieces that seem popular now. I custom made the patterns for the on point squares and adapted them for the triangle borders. The background is grey.

What a nice design that is. It reminds me of stylized deer or elk horns and with a little tweaking would work well on a deer or elk themed quilt.

I don't care for the heavy quilting either and this seems to be the ticket for the quilt. The very corner motif reminded me of a cross section of a walnut shell. May i ask how do you transfer the design to the quilt? What color of binding are you using on this lovely?

There is no transfer involved. I stitch through the paper, blind, and remove the paper afterwards. The binding colour is as yet undecided.

Very pretty quilt and I also like the open or loose quilting. Stippling is not for me. Really like your quilting design.

Oh my, Gorgeous!! I love all the beautiful color on white. I hope it does well in the show. And, I love the soft quilting.

I like the quilting design too - it's a lovely quilt. Some quilts focus on the quilting, others focus on the blocks and colors. Yours does both to the detriment of neither. Good job!
