I like the A. Thinner gray fabric, I think would work.

I like B without the cornerstone in the sashing. The red strip sets off the block. Another suggestion for you is to put red sashing all around the blocks. Wide gray border around all the quilt. Red cornerstones in the gray border if you have enough fabric left.

Have fun and show us your decision.

I like B much better. Love your panels, but those extra bits of gray are distracting...pull your eyes away from the pictures.

Yes, just sew the red and don't worry about seams; they won't be visible enough to worry about. I had to do the same this last fall...that one was almost like yours, but with Halloween-themed panels. Once it was sewn together, nobody but me knew where the seams were.

I vote for A. The little squares help connect the rows to make a cohesive picture and quilt top. More work but pleasant to look at. In the end.....your quilt and the little Christmas blocks are lovely.

I'm going to be different - would you consider every alternate block the grey fabric and have red sashing.

I think the gray horizontal strips are too wide. Try a narrower piece.

I agree. If the little connecting blocks are 2.5, then the gray strip could also be 2.5. Don't know why this works but to the eye it seems to work well.
