That should read Sashing Decision but auto correct decided differently! This is option B. Just sew the red sashing and ignore where the seams end up?

Either would be fine, but I vote for A

I Prefer option A. Just like the look better than B.

I like option A but prefer it without the large grey pieces.

I too find the large gray strips distracting and interrupt the visual flow of the quilt. I do like the red with the little gray squares.

My two cents, I like B the best and I would then border it with the red.

I think A is too busy and distracting.
Layout B showcases the blocks much better.
Your eye is drawn to the blocks with B, whereas in layout A, my eye is drawn to the grey crosses
and not the blocks; which should be the star of the show!
I might even take an inch or two off the width of the grey strips...
maybe have them be twice as wide the red sashing. That would balance it out a little better.

They both look nice, but I think I'd cut the grey sections in half. They are a little distracting at that size.
