Question when to mark the quilt top

When should I mark my finished quilt top: before or after making the quilt sandwich?

    Thank you for your help!

It depends a lot on how you mark. If I'm using pencil, I prefer to draw it all out before sandwiching, I feel I get easier to draw/better seen lines.

Using chalk/pounce pads I do after putting everything together. I have not yet tried the Pounce Pencil but it is on my to buy and try list.

yep agree, depends on what you are marking with. Some stuff like the chalk will be all gone again after you handle it for the basting. Some folks just mark sections as they go to make sure the lines can still be seen.
