I have a few questions. Was this made with 2.5 strips? The size of each of the 3 blocks?

I am new to this forum so I really appreciate your help Dunster. What do you mean 7x7 arrangement? Not clear to me.
Any tips you can offer I'd appreciate.
This is a big endeavor but have really inspired me.
