Beautiful quilt, sloscotty, and the quilting really compliments the design and fabrics you used.

I feel for all of you who have to struggle to continue to quilt. I get why quilting shops have to charge more but I also can understand why many of us have to struggle with paying the prices. I am in the golden years of my quilting so I have plenty for what I may want to make. I have often found really good buys in thrift stores also.

I bought a lot of fabric before I retired (10 years ago) and just never found a use for it. It started because I love "I Spy" quilts and just kept adding to the collection. My sewing. room was so over crowded with bins of fabric that I finally gave it about 10 bins away. Bins were the size of copy paper boxes. My sister's quilt group loved it - the NLB and NFL fabrics were big hits and the Christmas fabrics made 500 stockings. I still have a lot of fabric that I couldn't part with, but I find a pattern, then decide on fabric.
