Terriamn, Too bad I didn’t know this before. You’re only an hour and a half from me! I would have jumped in the car! Just passing through or staying for a while?

Just grabbed the latest blocks for the gallery. Hope you are having a nice evening. We're having a mini-solo stove fire on the deck. Nice.

Our granddaughter that lives in far Western Wyoming landed the part of "The Mad Hatter" in her 5th grade play. We've talked to her about the play several times and she is sooo excited for it. During one conversation she typed that it would be wonderful if we could come see it .... My hubby & I had already talked about going there (1350 miles 1 way ) and surprise her ... but we had to figure out the logistics of it with her parents. Kids these days are so busy it was hard to get to talk with the adults without being on speaker phone to hear the grands also.

Finally we got to say we were coming & verified the timing would work out. We went from flying (argh .. all the restrictions made it a nightmare), to driving our Explorer ( ugh, hate getting hotels, etc) soooo after much (and I do mean much) back and forth, we are taking our Class C RV and driving. We'll leave Tuesday morning and our live in granddaughter will be in charge of the Possum Trot homestead.

With packing & getting the RV ready to roll (plus having to clean off the table for a Mother's Day Grill out that ended up at our house, lol), I haven't gotten to sew the last couple days. Looks like I will be out and about for about 10 days ... I will try to post from the road.

Dang, with all that, I forgot why I started this ... dang train ran off the track again and got side tracked ... Our granddaughter did my nails for the play and I think she did an amazing job. Being the onery Nana I am, I sent a photo to our Mad Hatter and said we did them in support of her role in the play. She was thrilled to see them and said thanks so much ... I hope she is just as thrilled when she gets home from school and sees our RV in their driveway.

I found the this version of the Night/Day block in one of Pat Sloan's sew-a-longs. If you open the link, scroll all the way down to the bottom and in bright pink you will see the name, click on it and Poof, there are the directions. She gave it a different name, but when ever I see it in books or online it is Night and Day. https://patsloanquilts.com/going-on-a-picnic-block-1

I did get another block cut out tonight but it won't get sewn until tomorrow morning. Too late and too many little pieces. .

Pretty fancy nails, Moon. I love the surprise you have planned for your granddaughter! Safe travels!

WMUT, great blocks for Terriamn. I especially love the farm one!
