hey everyone,
just checking in. Malachi Samuel Hall was born Tuesday night at 10:18. 7lbs. 5 oz. 20 1/2 in. I can't believe they let me go 28 hours after my water broke. Twice they almost did a c section--my blood pressure dropped to 80/30 and the other time Malachi's heartrate was almost out of control from too much pitocin. both were scary. He was taken to the NICU after he was born because his breathing still wasn't normal and he had a fever. they think his fever was from me having him bundled too much! the breathing problem was from too much mucus still in his lungs. They still have him on an IV of antibiotics so he is not staying with me in the room. I'm trying not to be bummed about it.

gotta finish my email.

Rose

I have a girl and boy. And sometimes i thought if my son had been born first there would have been no more! He was not a bad child in fact he was funny and adorable but he was fearless and inquisitive. which sometimes made my heart skip a beat. But he is now grown, in his twenties and he is a kind and loving person. But oh the stories I could tell! But I will let Rose get settled first. Children are amazing gifts, thank God for them.

Congratulations Rose on your new baby boy! I hope everything is going well for the both of you now. Sounds like a rough start.

I know you have been anxious to join us in losing weight and you would check in here even when you couldn't get started until the baby was born. Let us know how things are going for you and know we are thinking about you and hoping all is well.

Not doing to good. I only lost 1/2 a pound. Still doing the same things. But I can't seem to lose the weight.

Quilt4u: Yaaaay!!! Be positive: 1/2 a pound is 2 sticks of butter. Go to the fridge and take out two sticks of butter and place one on each hip. See! You lost a lot! Great Job!
