Thoughts and prayers with u as your son goes to boot camp and onto his year(s) in the service. My son is presently serving his 2nd tour of Iraq and it's hard on his family.

So far I have only signed 20 but it seems like so much more. My fingers have started to cramp. So I think maybe if I try to do ten at a time and do these sessions through out the day or night. I should get them done.

my son (baby) left for boot camp yesterday and this has to be hardest thing I have gone through since my husband went to Iraq. I plan to keep busy quilting. I hope it works.
Karen---I know it's a hard think to go through but I know you are PROUD OF THEM BOTH!!! Just remember to send lots and lots of letters and motivational quotes. I did that for my son and he said that he loved the quotes and passed them around to everyone. I even got a card and had his friends sign it and I got one for my work to sign also. I know you probably already know all this since your husband is over seas. What branch is your husband in?

Just know that WE are also PROUD of them too!!

Hi,
My husband is in the navy. Getting ready to retire in July. One retires and another begins. I know everything will be ok it will just take some time adjusting. Thank your son for keeping our country safe. We are thankful for families like yours.

I personally know how hard this is on families. Especially young families. Please thank your son for the sacrifices he is making to keep us safe.

Looks like I need to get started making some more blocks. I thought I was through, at least they are easy to make.
I think when we get back all of our blocks, we will be able to making stunning quilts. I can't wait. There are so many possibilities.

Glad to hear she is ok - was concerned but don't know her well enough to ask directly.
Thanks for the update.

I have the same question, but haven't seen any answers yet.

The question: What's the best way to mail.

I'm sending priority mail as I have a box that will only cost me about 4.95.

I hardest thing I ever did was watch my son leave for boot camp... from there he went overseas and was gone for 3 years. He had some time off during that time but used it to see some of the world rather than come home.. I cried the entire time I think.. My husband spent 32 years in the Navy... that wasn't as hard as watching my son leave.. I know where you are.. The men and women who go are what keeps our country safe. I thank God for them and pray He keeps them safe. When a man serves, his family serves too. Thank you for your son, and for your husband. We are all proud of our service personnel. I'll be remembering you tonight too.
