That's was my first thought as well. The BBC version with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle. My wife and I watch it several times a year and quote lines from it to each other at random moments in our lives. :D
Yeah, mine too (Colin Firth/Jennifer Ehle)! I have some even older & longer Masterpiece Theatre presentations on videotape that are fabulous also, e.g. "Jewel in the Crown".

We also need a John Wayne "fix" every so often ... love "Big Jake", "McClintock", and "Rooster Cogburn".

Wow, lots of people like some of my favorite movies - but there's no way I can pick just one.... here's a 'short' list - no particular order...
Paint your wagon and Coogan's Bluff - mainly because I have my own personal Clint Eastwood lookalike (well, back when the movies were made anyway) in fact, DH was called "Coogan" by quite a few people like they were the only ones who discovered the fact LOL

Parent Trap (only the original) has always been one of my all time favorites along with The Trouble with Angels - I have a scathingly brilliant idea...
The Indiana Jones movies, and the original three Star Wars
Some of my favorite comedies:
Clue, That old Feeling (I LOVE Bette Midler) Down Periscope, My Fellow Americans, Support Your Local Sheriff, The Villain
Just a small sample...

Oooh, I almost forgot. I love James Garner; my favorite is "Support Your Local Sheriff". Other movies I can watch over and over are "Cheyenne Social Circle" (Henry Fonda, James Stewart) and "Notting Hill" with its great cast. Also love Walter Mathau and Jack Lemmon teamed up: "The Odd Couple", "Grumpy Old Men", "Grumpier Old Men".

Silence of the Lambs
Pan's Labyrinth
Midnight Express
Life is Beautiful
There is another Italian movie I can't remember the title, but the English translation is "I wan't my cat back"...

Pride & Prejudice with Colin Firth & Jennifer Ehle -- I watch at least once a year. I also love Anne of Green Gables with Megan Follows. Places in the Heart with Sally Field and Steel Magnolias.
My very favorite movie is To Kill a Mockingbird with Gregory Peck.
