Darker than the inside of Nick's hatband.

(I haven't a clue who Nick was or how they knew what the inside of his hatband looked like!!)

We had a math teacher (an old bachelor) who had a million of them. One of his favorites was Colder than a mother-in-law's love. Don't know how he knew that!!

My favorite is no one will notice it riding by on a horse. My dad used to say cant never did anything and I whupped oold couldnt til he could. lol

Having lived all over the US I have heard most of these but there is a saying up here I had never heard before, "It is what it is." Even the weather lady said it on tv.
