can I use the spray in place of the fusible fleece? I was trying to "cheap out" on the tote bags, but now I am wondering what will happen if I iron the sprayed fleece, not directly but as a sandwich with outside and lining. Thanks for any info you may have! I'll post my results tomorrow--after I move the iron and sewing machine outside! I don't have enough brain cells left to waste on aresol fumes (especially warm ones).

The only time I tried to use fusible fleece it wouldn't stay fused! I can't help with the reaction of the sprayed to ironing.

All I use on bags is fusible fleece. Pellon. As long as you follow directions it holds great and I love the body it gives my bags. they stand up on their own and seems great after several months already.

I had bad luck with the fusible fleece too...
Some of the basting spray I was looking at last week dissolves when ironed or put in the dryer. Some has to be washed and dried to get rid of it.
If you just need the fabric held together to sandwich it to quilt, any of it should work.
