So, on Thursday evening I went to my regular sewing group get-together (this is a smaller, more local group than my Quilt Guild, we meet weekly for tea and cookies and crafting in each other's kitchens). And I took Ninnie's gorgeous centre with me to show it to the ladies, and get some suggestions for what kind of border to add next. They all Ooooh-ed and Ahhhh-ed over it, especially the border that was done by Elle's Spanish Ladies. So I told them the whole story about Elle's dear Colin, and how her sewing group stepped in to do the centres for her for a bit.

So now, MY sewing group wants to contribute to Ninnie's centre, too! So they've said they will all bring in pieces of fabric for me to use in the border! And we came up with a great idea for what the border should be :) Can't wait to get it done so I can show it to you!

Dear Elle, your wish is my command :-D
Here is a picture of your center after I received it from CollettaKay, and a picture of the material I bought for it, and the material laying beside your center.
Since this is the next to last round, and I mail to Lacelady who will be finishing it off, I am not sure just what it needs. I think it needs to have the center brought out to the edges, which is why I bought this material, thinking it matched it perfectly, but want to leave it open for Lacelady also. Please, any and all suggestions are needed and wanted. I think about it right before going to sleep, thinking the answer may come in my dreams, which has happened before

Love the material. Its got a lot going on there, perhaps you could do just a plain round, that would be good in that material. Wow its come on a bunch since I saw it last.

Thanks everyone who has worked on it, its looking good.

Can I make another wish now :-D

Ooohhhh Ninnie, that fabric is so perfect with that center! You did really really good girl! I'm not sure, Elle might just be right on with saying just go plain. I'd have to sleep on the idea too...that does seem to work  :D Whatever...it is really going to be pretty! Elle, you are a lucky gal!

By the way...Ninnie...if you are in the wish granting business...I might have a couple up my sleeve.....

OK, what do you do, when you get sent stars? You add stripes of course!

Hope it's OK Omak - I did corners for you with little red squares to echo your centre. They are getting a bit large now, and its kind of hard to take photos of them

BTW, I drew up the corner blocks on my EQ, then went looking for a name for them, but can't find one. I can't believe that I have designed a completely original block, so if you know what it is, please let me know.
