sorry I'm new, so I have a possible stupid question... I assume when you sew the 2 squares together (to make the half square blacks), you sew 2 lines, one down each side of the marked line, then cut on the marked line, creating 2 half square blocks? correct?

This is what it looks like with 6 in [finished] squares, a 1 in red border, and a 7 in outer border. About 64 in finished. I've made 3 so far. One is in my sewing room, the other 2 are in my girls rooms. Theirs are made with asian black and white prints

I am all over this!!! I have my squares cut out - but being a bit daring - I am starting with 6 in squares, sewing down the middle, cutting in half and hoping for the best. . .now that I think about it - will my full squares be too big? Should those get cut down a little? I usually try to stick with nice round numbers since I still have a hard time measuring correctly. :)

Once it's cut out, you could peice it in one day.
