I posted a quilt I did with my 8th grade students this year. It's under the topic: Newbie's turn to share

pab58,
Actually I am south of 5 mile (it runs east and west) and just west of Beech Daly....between Beech and Inkster, on a street named Lyndon. You are right! We are almost next-door neighbors! We will have to make a plan to meet!!

I worked there for 5 years! It is nice. The Brighton, Howell, Pinckney area has many nice quilt shops. Quilt Kits in Brighton is wonderful, it is on Grand River next to Lil Chef restaurant (hidden back in what looks like medical offices). Pinckney has a cute shop in the downtown area. Many good ones to shop at!

Hi Patty from Kalamazoo, MI. Don't have a map close by...where is Redford?
We had thunderstorms and tornadoes tonight. Took the grandboys to the basement to sleep. All quiet now. Hope it's done.
Welcome to the board....lots of great ideas and fellow quilters here. Penny

Redford Township (our real name) is west of Detroit -- we touch the border. Actually the Detroit border is about 1/2 mile from me. We had some nasty weather last night, too. It wasn't as bad as it was to the south of us -- thank the good Lord for keeping us all safe! The tornado sirens went off, but we had just the heavy rains. There have been some real downpours around here this past week. I drove through a monsoon on Friday night as I was leaving the graduation ceremony of my school's senior class (I teach there). I just hope they didn't get all the heavy rain, hail, etc. that hit in the southeastern area. We were just watching the local news, and some areas were very severely hit. Dundee had a tornado that did some terrible damage. I haven't heard of any fatalities, though.

OMGoodness!!!! Are you kidding me!!!??? My dear friend and her sister run the shop! Susan owns it, and she convinced Barb to join her. Barb lives next door to me, and I've known her for about 30+ years!!! Send me a PM so I can get your name and tell her we connected on this board!!
