Hello from Utah

Hi, I have been reading and gleaning from this site for several months and have learned so much. It's time to jump in and become part of the group. I have been quilting for several years, but am just a beginner with a huge stash. My mother was a quilter, but none of my sisters or SIL are quilters. I have four daughters and four daughters in law and there is not much interest there either. But I have a good friend and neighbor who enjoys quilting - lucky me - we have a great time together. I am working on a Christmas star quilt for myself. My daughter adopted a baby girl a month ago and I am almost finished with two lap quilts for the birth mother and birth father's mothers (the baby's birth grandmothers). Does that make sense? We feel so blessed to have this new little one and thought it would be nice to send something cuddly back to them. Will send pictures once I get them quilted.
