That is a TERRIFIC border, Miss Lace ... thank you very much! <wave>
So glad you like it Omak - I always hold my breath until the owner pops in and sees it. So you think I managed subconscousely (sp?) to combine two blocks into one for your corners?

Elle, I was thinking on point as I wrote that I might play with it. And blue/white is almost always a first choice for me.
I was trying to think of something catchy like: Pigs in a blanket?
barn door with a nine patch ... will just have to keep trying <g> ... I think what you have done is pretty original and you have every right to have it called "Leslie's Square" or block ... I don't think I have ever seen the two traditional patterns combined, and since I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on HUNDREDS of books and looked at each one at least once .. I am pretty confident that you have indeed created an "original" ... currently, we have hundreds of people making big bucks on simply changing a color placement ... you have accomplished more than that!
And, it wasn't easy, when you consider you weren't dealing with figures that were consistent through each level ... you went above and beyond, in my humble opinion. <wave>

I'm almost finished the border I'm doing on Ninnie's centre, and I will be sending it to Omak on time. I'll post a photo as soon as it's done. All's well here :)

I have finished mine, but was hanging on to it until I can show my quilting group tomorrow evening, then I will put it in the post Elle.

Omak, thank you - perhaps I have accidentally created a Lesley block. Would be nice to think I made an original.

Have two sides of Elle's done, just have to decide on corner blocks.
I was so scared to cut those long pieces  but, didn't want any seams :D So after lots of ironing, and starching, I bit the bullet, and cut.I was so afraid I would mess up the batik  But they are doing great. :-D It will be in the mail to Lacelady on time ;)
